Pizza is always good (a tad bit salty imo) but still really good! Mild wings "extra crispy" were, in deed, extra crispy (more med/hot than mild) but again, still very very good. The owner is really nice and the prices are very reasonable
Ok so my wife and I moved to Troy from Latham and missed Dom's Pizzeria so much. I love NY is down the road, however we tried once and was pretty blah- no sauce, little cheese, and cheese was plastic like anyhow. So a friend came from out of town, and I found Dante's on Urban, and Yelp, and trusted the feedback and .... HALLELUJAH ! We have again found our "go to" authentic hand tossed delis-style pizza and wings again!! Ordered the large double-cut hand-tossed cheese, and one Pepp and Sausage, and they were both outstanding. Crust is great, airy, flavorful, like foccacia bread from another review. Cheese and sauce are both great, and the toppings are high-quality ingredients. The place itself is nothing to write home about, but I don't care if my pizza joint is nice inside, I care about the PRODUCT! Go here if you like real NY style hand-tossed great pizza and old-school traditional buffalo wings. You won't be disappointed : )
Dante's Pizzeria is one of my favorite pizza places in Troy. Since 1980, I grew up eating Dante's sheet pizza and would pickup pizzas from their former location at 3rd and Jefferson back in the day, since they did not deliver to Wynantskill. Now located on Spring Ave at the bottom of Linden Ave, Dante's Pizzeria offers pizza (6 cut sicilian, 8 cut round hand tossed, 10 cut, & 24 cut), subs, salads, pasta, appetizers, wings, and RC Cola & 7-Up products. Over the weekend, I called in an order for a 10 cut sausage pizza and the pizza was ready in 15 minutes. After I picked up the pizza, I couldn't wait to get home and immediately began eating some pizza in my ride. The tasty dough crust was soft inside, crispy on the outside with the right amount of sausage, sauce, and cheese, just the way I've had it many times. I ate 4 slices before leaving the parking lot. Great crust and excellent pizza!
